Course description

The course introduces the duties, responsibilities and practical skills associated with tax accounting. Students learn to interpret taxation cases, organise relevant information and apply tax-accounting principles to practical situations.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, students should be able to:

  • explain the role and responsibilities of a tax accountant;
  • identify relevant information in taxation cases;
  • apply basic tax-accounting rules;
  • organise financial information for taxation purposes;
  • recognise common taxation problems;
  • prepare basic tax-related calculations;
  • discuss professional duties in tax accounting; and
  • evaluate practical taxation cases.
