Course description
The course introduces project finance modelling and gives students an opportunity to apply financial concepts to a real or simulated company. Students develop a structured financial model and explain the assumptions, calculations and results.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to:
- define the purpose and structure of a financial project;
- identify the main financial assumptions of a project;
- organise financial information systematically;
- prepare basic financial projections;
- apply time-value-of-money calculations;
- evaluate expected project costs and returns;
- develop a financial model; and
- present and justify the results of the project.
