Authors / roleHamed Ahmadinia
Date / periodNovember 2023-October 2024
StatusCOMPLETED
Project periodNovember 2023-October 2024
Participants / unitsSecondary survey analysis; participants were recruited through the European Social Survey rather than directly by the project. The latest full longitudinal analysis contains 190,064 native-born employed or self-employed respondents across 15 European countries, including 17,322 managers and 172,742 other workers. It pools ESS Rounds 1–11, 2002–2023. Managerial status is derived from ISCO occupational classifications, and the analysis uses harmonised measures of immigration attitudes, immigrant acceptance, generalised trust, human values and sociodemographic characteristics. The modelling includes country random intercepts, country-specific random slopes for generalised trust, ESS-round fixed effects and OLS fixed-effects robustness models with country-clustered standard errors.
MethodsSecondary ESS analysis; Python data processing; Multilevel linear modelling; Country random effects; Random slopes for generalised trust; ESS-round fixed effects; OLS robustness analysis; Interaction/moderation analysis
