This individual course provides a comprehensive introduction to the Internet of Things in the modern world. It familiarises learners with key concepts and develops the ability to identify applications for IoT systems and perform a basic analysis of such systems.

Course focus

The course introduces the role of IoT in modern life and Industry 4.0. It considers the concepts of systems, information and networks, different types of data and their possible impact on communication between devices, and practical applications of IoT technologies.

  2. Systems, information and networks
  3. Probability and game theory
  4. Applications of IoT systems

Each chapter combines a theoretical component with a short quiz. The course has no fixed teaching schedule and is completed through four tasks.
