Participants / unitsDigital-trace research; no directly recruited human participants in the current YouTube strand. The analytical corpus contains 473 English-language YouTube video–article records, linked to 220 retracted article DOIs and 306 YouTube channels. Evidence includes video titles, tags, channel titles and descriptions, transcripts, upload dates, retraction dates, views, likes, comments, and article-level Altmetric Attention Scores. 208 records were uploaded before retraction and 265 on or after retraction. The underlying study retrieves transcripts with Python, compares upload and retraction dates, applies rule-based correction-signal coding across several YouTube information layers, and validates the automated labels against independent manual coding.
